Attention, frog lovers! Simon and Schuster has announced a recall 142,000 copies of Monday the Bullfrog, a plush book for children. According to this Associated Press report, “the plush frog’s plastic eye can detach, possibly posing a choking hazard to young children. The company received reports of three plastic eyes detaching after use and one unit that was packaged with a detached eye. No injuries have been reported.”
According to the S&S website, “Immediately remove the product from a child’s reach. Contact Simon & Schuster to receive a replacement book or for more information.
Alas, the course of true publishing never runs smooth.
