You can add the Sony Reader to the list of ebook readers being hustled into new models before Christmas. A story in The Bookseller says Sony is hurrying to get a new version into stores in September that will feature WiFi. According to the report, “industry sources” say “the new device is being prepared for September sale in order to pre-empt the arrival in the UK of Amazon.com’s Kindle device.” One of those sources, as it turns out, is supposedly a “manager at Books-a-Million” in the US, as per this comment at the Mobileread forum.
