Swedish critic says Dan Brown’s Lost Symbol is a real gsordenblatt

by

At the Swedish book site Bokhora, and via the magic of Google Translate, Helena offers Things I did instead of reading Dan Brown’s new novel The Lost Symbol:

Drinking coffee.
Combed the cats.
Empty the litter box.
Empty bläjhinken.
Empty handbag.
Empty gut.

She does, eventually, go on to read Den förlorade symbolen and give it a more traditional review, saying, “Finally, I will, after all, started with the reading, but where the adrenaline rush that I associate with bladvändare worthy of the name fails. It says ‘spänningsroman’ on the cover, but the fact is that ‘The lost symbol’ is remarkably ospännande.”

Exactly my feelings about it.

spänningsroman would be “suspenseful novel”. thus ospännande is un-suspenseful.
    that’s a nordic studies m.a. for you.
