Oh, books about publishing. People in the industry like them, or at least some of us do. But do regular folks? This was the question taken up in a February 10th story by Leon Neyfakh in the New York Observer. In the article, Neyfakh questioned whether a history of FSG being shopped around by New York magazine’s Boris Kachka would sell. Well, it did, according to a follow-up story (to the Thomas Dunne Books imprint of St. Martin’s Press).
Here’s another book biz title to add to the pile. According to Publishers Marketplace, magazine journalist Richard Brandt has just sold Inside Jeff’s Brain, a profile of Jeff Bezos at Amazon, to editor Jeffrey Krames at Portfolio.
